About

We started birding about sixteen years ago, and our interest in photography has grown, and is now almost obsessive. Most of the images on the site have been taken locally in and around the Fylde and North-West UK.

We use Nikon equipment and have a D300s and a D7000, with these we use an f/4 500mm manual focus p lens, an f/2.8 300mm af-s vr and an f/4 300mm af-s lens. For each camera we have 1.4 and 2x teleconverters (Mk II and Mk III). We also use a PK-13 extention ring, a Cannon 500D close focus diopter, and a polerizing filter.
We would unreservedly recommend the f/4 300mm af-s lens, (especially for flight shots).
The other two lenses however, although undeniably sharper than the f4 have weight and cost issues that have to be considered.

We hope you enjoy looking at our images, we also have a large library of images archived, and more of our work can be found on our Flickr pages (see links).
